White Ratany
Krameria grayi, Ratany family (Krameriaceae)
Flowers: Unique magenta flower, shaped like a "shooting star", with sharply hooked beak of dark pink or red stamens and a bit of lime green near center. The flower is followed by a small round salmon-colored seed pod with spines.
Leaves: Narrow grayish leaves, to 1/2" long, slightly hairy.
Height: Small bush, grows to 2'.

Typically found in dry desert soil.
