Cassia coveseii, Pea family (Leguminosae)
Flowers: Crinkly dark yellow flower, to 1" wide, with 5 petals followed by long seed pod which rattles when shaken.
Leaves: Gray-green softly hairy leaves, to 2" long..
Height: Grows to 2'.

Typically found dry rocky areas and on roadsides.
