Prickle Poppy
Argemone pleiacantha, Poppy family (Papaveraceae)
Flowers:	Large white, crinkly flowers with bright gold and orange at center (to 5" wide).
Leaves:	Blue-green thorny leaves to 8" long, on thick spiny stems..
Height:	Grows to 3' high.
Photographed May 11, in Superstition Mountain area. Typically found in washes and beside roads.
