Paloverde (Mexican)
Parkinsonia aculeata, Pea family (Leguminosae)
Flowers: Each flower typically has 4 deep yellow petals and 1 orange to reddish-brown petal, to 1" wide, with brown-tipped stamens.
Leaves: Leaves are bright green, made up of parallel rows of leaflets, to 20" long. Tree bark is yellow-green.
Height: Tree grows to 40' high.

Typically found in desert valleys.
