Lupine (Coulter's)
Lupinus sparsiflorus, Pea family (Leguminosae)
Flowers: Vertical cluster of rich blue pea-like blossoms with yellow spots.
Leaves: Each leaf is made up of 5-9 long, narrow, dark green leaflets in a palm-like arrangement.
Height: Grows to 16" high.

Typically found near roadsides, on slopes and mesas.
