Filaree (Storkbill)
Erodium cicutarium, Geranium Family (Geraniaceae)
Flowers:	Small-violet-pink, 5-petaled flowers, to 1/4" wide, followed by fruit with long pointed "stork bill".
Leaves:	Dark green, fern-like leaves, to 4" long.
Height:	Generally low growing, spreading as ground cover, but may grow to 15" high.
Photographed March 8, in the Superstition Mountain area. Typically found in flat areas or hillsides, often appearing where ground has been disturbed.
