| Flowers: | Tubular, purplish flowers (to 1 1/2" long) with yellow center, followed by a very distinctive fleshy curved fruit which splits to reveal a woody shell with sharp claw-like tips. |
| Leaves: | Dark green, sticky, heart-shaped leaves (to 7" long). |
| Height: | Low growing, stems may reach 3' long. |
