Desert Straw
Stephanomeria pauciflora, Sunflower family (Compositeae)
Flowers:	Pale lavendar flowers (to 3/4" wide) with toothed petals and curling stamens.
Leaves:	Narrow, smooth blue-green leaves to 3" long.
Height:	May grow to 2'.
Photographed May 1, in the Superstition Mountain area. Typically found in desert washes and sandy areas.
