Desert Broom
Baccharis sarothroides, Sunflower family (Compositae)
Flowers:Small yellowish-white flowers (to 3/8" long) clustered at end of branching stems.
Leaves:Long, narrow, sticky green leaves (to 1 1/2" long).
Height:Shrub may grow to 10'.
Photographed November 2, in the Superstition Mountain area.
Typically found along streams, in desert washes, and on hillsides.
